The Laney Way: Balancing Sports and Wellbeing

Sometimes, the pressure to win, perform, and get recruited can take the fun out of sports. It can lead to burnout, anxiety, and even injuries. We need to remember that everyone develops at their own pace, and it’s more important to enjoy the journey than to obsess over the destination.

My mission is to raise awareness about the pressures of youth sports and encourage young athletes to focus on their well-being. I want to remind everyone that it’s okay to make mistakes, have off days, and prioritize other aspects of our lives besides sports.
